This is a pretty nice habitat that, while a bit flimsy, does provide your tadpoles and frogs a fairly natural environment. My tadpoles took about two weeks to arrive but did arrive healthy. It took a couple of months for them to complete the metamorphosis into frogs but it was an amazing process. The Uncle Milton Planet Frog is made such that there are different water levels and as the tadpoles grow, they can explore more and as they turn into frogs can gradually climb onto dry land.
This is one of the best science kits available for learning the life cycle of frogs and studying the bigger role they play in our ecosystem. Do know that the habitat is plastic and doesn’t seem too sturdy, but when filled with water it is a bit more solid. Check out the below Yahoo! Kids video about this kit.
